Red Hat Enterprise 8 now available

Yesterday at the Red Hat Summit in Boston, it was announced that Red Hat Enterprise 8 hit GA (general availability).

Introducing RHEL 8

I’ve played around with the OS for a little, and like what I’ve seen so far. I like the cockpit as well and plan on digging into the OS as the month goes by. I would have used it more, however, with all my studies for my RHCE, I didn’t have much free time to playing around.

Now I’m tired, the round the clock studying and taking the exam really takes a toll on you. I’m glad that is behind me now and I can move onto more focused topics in the RHCA.

Later on this month I plan on doing some hands-on posts with RHEL 8, so be sure and stop by again to check those out.

In the mean time, you can get a copy yourself at access.redhat.com. If you need a entitlement to run the software you can either purchase it, or you can get one via the Developer program at no cost.
